Our class recently embarked on a creative project: an English hand-painted newspaper celebrating National Day. The aim was to combine our English skills with our patriotic spirit, resulting in a visually appealing and informative piece showcasing the significance of this important holiday.

The initial planning stage involved brainstorming ideas and dividing tasks. Some students focused on researching the history of National Day, while others explored traditional celebrations and customs. A group was dedicated to finding interesting facts and figures about China's progress over the years. Finally, a talented team of artists volunteered to create the visual elements of the newspaper, including illustrations, drawings, and calligraphy.

The headline of our newspaper proudly proclaims: "Celebrating the People's Republic of China!". Underneath, we included a brief introduction outlining the history of National Day, explaining that it commemorates the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1st, 1949. We highlighted the pivotal moment when Chairman Mao Zedong declared the establishment of the new nation in Tiananmen Square, marking the end of decades of turmoil and the beginning of a new era.

One section of the newspaper is dedicated to exploring traditional National Day celebrations.
